| 888 appointed David Zera |
|
Zerah, who takes up the post in August, joins from Vizrt where he was chief commercial officer managing sales, account management, customer support partner relationships and product management. Prior to becoming CCO, David spent seven years as executive vice president of sales worldwide for Vizrt, growing the business from US$17m a year in revenue to over US$100m by 2008. Zerah said: "I am very pleased to join one of the leading B2B players in the gaming industry at such an exciting time. This industry is dynamic, and the emergence of new technologies and platforms present very exciting possibilities for online gaming.” Previous Dragonfish managing director Campos left Dragonfish last month in the wake of 888’s full-year results, which showed Dragonfish to be the star performer against the company’s overall decline in profits. 888’s B2B arm had under Campos grown significantly, providing US$51.3m of 888 Holdings’ US$246.7m operating income last year, a US$12.7m (33%) rise on its 2008 results. Dragonfish signed a deal with MTV Networks UK & Ireland earlier this month to provide a bingo product. This followed the extension of its deals with Costa Bingo and PartyGaming-owned Cashcade, the operator of Foxy Bingo.
