Decree 42/2009, of April 21, amending Decree No. 57/1986 of April 4, which adopts the Catalog and Gaming and Betting authorized in the Canaries. 
 
According to the Betting and Gaming Act, which stipulates that only will be autorized in the Canary Islands those games and bets inlcuded in the catalog of gaming and betting and  arrangements to incorporate in the catalog the types of games to be included in it, was added the new forms of games exclusive for Casinos that did not appeared in this catalog, in response to demand from the business sector affected  as well as the experience of other regions.

So, were incluided in this catalog the new forms of exclusive games in Casinos, such as: Roulette Fortune, Blackjack Uncovered, Triple Blackjack, Minipunto, Pai Gow Poker or Chinese Poker, Poker Covered of 5 cards with Discard and Five variants of poker uncovered composed of the Seven Stud Poker, Omaha, Hold'em and Stud Poker Five.

Furthermore, Decree 57/1986 [2.nd article)] calls for regular games exclusive of casinos, their rules and have direct application in the Canary Islands in order to ensure transparency in their development and the legitimate interests of the players that practicing them, so there is a description of operating rules and the material and personal components of the game.

Also, taking into account the demand and importance as a tourist attraction of tournaments and competitions of games exclusive of Casinos, allowing its realization prior administrative authorization.
