| William Hill closes sale of Victoria Apuestas |

After a strategic review of the joint venture in Spain, Victoria Apuestas, the parties had agreed in May 2009 to the gradual withdrawal of William Hill as per the agreed terms on 20 January 2010. Accordingly, Codere purchased William Hill's stake in the joint venture for EUR1.00. William Hill added that it had decided to concentrate on its international sports betting strategy through William Hill Online.
